October 22, 2024, Press Release from the Lima-Allen County Regional Planning Commission: The West Central Ohio Rural Planning Organization is releasing its DRAFT 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan for public comment. A link to the Long Range Transportation Plan, as well as a survey, will be available for review beginning October 23^rd 2024 through Nov 13th, 2024. They will be posted on the Lima-Allen County Regional Planning website as well as on the respective County Engineer’s sites for Auglaize, Hancock, Hardin, Mercer, Putnam, Van Wert, and Wyandot Counties.

A public open house was held today about upcoming road projects in surrounding rural counties. The West Central Ohio Rural Planning organization held an open house for the public to come to voice their opinion and provide input on future transportation projects. The projects on display are in surrounding rural counties such as Putnam, Auglaize, Mercer, Hancock, Van Wert, and Wyandot counties. This is the first year for the regional planning organization, and they felt it was a long time overdue to solve the unique needs that exist in the rural counties surrounding Lima.
