Dr. Andrea Mata from BrightSpot Families was the guest speaker at today's meeting, her topic was cultivating a gritty culture. In 2021 she left the University of Findlay to live out her life's mission of helping families by starting BrightSpot Families where she teaches coping, relationships, and parenting skills to families and she has realized her techniques can be adapted in work environments.
Chef Abdul Jaad of Abdul's 5 Star Catering started the idea to give back to the community in the summer, when he wanted to do a movie night, but unfortunately couldn’t raise enough money to do it. So, he and his wife came up with he idea of doing a free meal for people who needed something on the holiday. Fresh and faded let them use their space, and 419 Drywall Repair helped with the water to pass out with the meal. Jaad felt it was important to offer this meal to others, because what happened in his life.
Here at Roundhouse Depot Brewing we are really a family. We are a husband and wife team, two of our flagship beers are named after our kids (Tony's Twisted, and Nati J. IPA respectively), and thus it was family that brought our brewery to fruition.
