COLUMBUS GROVE, Ohio - Columbus Grove opened Northwest Conference play with its first win of the season, shutting out Jefferson 9-0 at Hall Avenue Park.

Liv Mayberry scored twice for the Bulldogs, including a strike in the first half and a header off a pass from Ashtyn Halker.

Jefferson goalkeeper Sydnee Bayman made several stops to keep the Wildcats within striking distance early, but Columbus Grove continued to apply pressure.

Lillian Stechschulte added a second-half goal as the Bulldogs went on to secure the 9-0 victory and improve to 1-0 in NWC play.
