COLDWATER (WLIO) ... The Coldwater Cavaliers enter the 2026 season with plenty of new faces after another deep postseason run.

Despite finishing the 2025 regular season 6-4, the Cavaliers advanced to the Division VI state semifinals and finished 10-5 before falling to Hopewell-Loudon, 20-18. Coldwater moves up to Division V this season.

The Cavaliers graduated 12 seniors, including all five starting offensive linemen and five defensive starters. Head coach Chip Otten, entering his 17th season, says rebuilding the offensive line is the team's biggest priority, with eight players competing for five starting spots.

Coldwater faces another challenging schedule, highlighted by a Week 9 matchup against defending state champion St. Henry before closing the regular season against rival Marion Local.
