CONVOY, Ohio (WLIO) — After a scorching 5-1 start last year, a late-season slide left the Crestview Knights on the outside looking in. Going 1-3 down the stretch to finish 6-4, the Knights missed the playoffs for the second consecutive season.

This fall, the challenge gets steeper as Crestview must replace major firepower, including Northwest Conference Offensive Player of the Year Braxton Leeth and first-team defensive lineman Liam Putman.

However, entering his fourth season at the helm, head coach Cole Harting has a major building block up front. The Knights return 17 letter winners, highlighted by four experienced offensive linemen. Harting will lean heavily on that veteran presence in the trenches as Crestview breaks in a brand-new starting quarterback and a fresh group of skill players.
