FINDLAY — The Findlay football program will make history this weekend as the Oilers prepare to host their first-ever NCAA Division II playoff game.
Findlay held steady at No. 2 in the latest Super Region rankings, the third straight week the team has occupied that spot. A top-four regional seed guarantees the Oilers a home postseason game at Donnell Stadium.
Nationally, Findlay is ranked No. 12 in the American Football Coaches Association Division II top-25 poll. The Oilers will host Minnesota State–Mankato on Saturday. The Mavericks enter the matchup ranked No. 21 in the country after finishing the regular season 8-3 in the Northern Sun Conference.
This marks just the third Division II postseason appearance in program history for Findlay, and the first time the Oilers have hosted a playoff game. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
