Fort Recovery tops Arcanum to reach first regional final since 1991

NORTHMONT — Fort Recovery advanced to the regional final with a four-set victory over Arcanum in a Division 6 regional semifinal at Northmont.
Fort Recovery won the opening set, dropped the second, then rallied to win the third before closing out the match with a 26-24 fourth-set victory. The Indians will face St. Henry in the regional final.
Key contributors for Fort Recovery included Brynn Willman, who made significant plays at the net; Cameron Muhlenkamp, who delivered timely offense; and Bridget Homan, whose play off a deflection helped swing momentum. Aleixis Grisez also converted an important point late in the match.
Fort Recovery’s win sends the Indians to the regional final for the first time since 1991.
