LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — It was a battle of the Wildcats in boys soccer as 2-0 Kalida traveled to take on 0-1 Bath.

Bath goalkeeper Braycen Jolliff made an early impact, recording his first save of the game to keep Kalida off the scoreboard.

But the visitors broke through in the 12th minute.

Kalida's Brady Unverferth got on the end of a chance inside the box and converted to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead.

Bath responded moments later.

Junior captain Levi Grime cut back to his right foot and fired a shot into the top-right corner of the net, tying the match at one.

The back-and-forth action continued as a Kalida free kick was blocked, but Owen Grime followed up on the rebound and smashed it home to put Bath ahead 2-1.

That meant both team captains found the back of the net.

Kalida continued to battle and eventually found the equalizer before Lucas Hammond scored a late goal to put the visiting Wildcats back in front.

Kalida held on for the 3-2 victory, improving to 3-0 and extending its winning streak to three straight games.

Final: Kalida 3, Bath 2.
