LCC — Lima Central Catholic closed strong down the stretch to secure a 63–56 win over Columbus Grove in a Northwest Conference boys basketball matchup.
The Bulldogs held control for much of the first half, but LCC began to chip away after the break behind Jordan Priddy, who sparked the comeback by pulling the Thunderbirds within two with a floater.
Columbus Grove answered on the other end as Trevon Baxter knocked down a pull-up jumper. The left-hander finished the night with 10 points. Grove continued to look for separation, but LCC’s defense delivered a turning point when Dom McKee came up with back-to-back rejections to halt the Bulldogs’ momentum.
With the game tied, LCC found a breakthrough as Brady Parker set up Jaxon White for a triple that put the Thunderbirds ahead by three. Columbus Grove responded behind Landon Best, who attacked the rim and finished through contact. Best led the Bulldogs with 25 points, including a clutch three-pointer later that briefly swung the lead back in Grove’s favor.
The final momentum shift came from Priddy, who drove straight into the defender for a three-point play. Priddy finished with a game-high 30 points and moved into third place on LCC’s all-time scoring list.
Lima Central Catholic held on from there to close out the 63–56 conference win over Columbus Grove.
