LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Two West Central Ohio teams squared off on the pitch as the Shawnee Indians welcomed the 4-1 Liberty-Benton Eagles.

The game remained scoreless early as Liberty-Benton sent a ball into the box and got a head on it, but Shawnee goalkeeper Laina Pasion made the save to keep the match tied.

The Eagles broke through in the 30th minute.

Liberty-Benton senior Kylie Modd found the back of the net from 15 yards out, giving the Eagles a 1-0 lead.

Shawnee continued to battle into the second half, but Liberty-Benton added to its advantage.

Lucy Baker delivered a pass to Ally Ferris, who finished the opportunity to make it 2-0.

The Eagles kept Shawnee off the scoreboard the rest of the way to secure the clean sheet.

Final: Liberty-Benton 2, Shawnee 0.
