LIMA (WLIO) - The Lima Cup rivalry went to the pitch Tuesday night, with Lima Senior earning its first win of the season by beating Lima Central Catholic 4-2 at Spartan Stadium.

LCC struck first, but Brevan Stolly answered with a header off a corner kick to tie the match at 1-1. Just before halftime, Emmanuel Jokinen-Rutz scored off another corner to put the Spartans ahead 2-1.

Lima Senior extended the lead early in the second half when John Bonheur finished another corner-kick opportunity.

Stolly converted a penalty in the 71st minute for his second goal of the night, pulling LCC within one. The Spartans answered again, with Duedieubence Durtyl getting behind the defense and finding the net to seal the 4-2 victory.

Lima Senior earns its first win of the season.
