LIMA — Lima Senior celebrated homecoming in emphatic fashion Friday night, overwhelming Toledo Woodward 63-6 at Spartan Stadium.
The Spartans wasted no time setting the tone. Quarterback Ja’Niaus Hall connected with Jeff Williams for an early touchdown, then followed up with a strike to Jaelan Webster to make it 14-0 after the Spartans successfully recovered an onside kick.
Hall continued his strong start later in the first quarter with a short pass to Da’Kaden Taylor, who broke free for a 40-yard touchdown. By the end of the opening period, Lima Senior had built a commanding 21-0 lead.
The defense added to the momentum, with Jayden Joes picking off a Woodward pass to stop a Polar Bears drive. Hall and Webster linked up again shortly after, with Webster using a sharp juke and stiff-arm to reach the end zone.
Lima Senior never looked back, cruising to a 63-6 victory to improve to 4-2 on the season.
