LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The high school volleyball season is in full swing, and two West Central Ohio teams went head-to-head as Lima Senior traveled to take on Bath.

The Spartans entered the matchup looking for their first win of the season, while the Wildcats came in at 1-1.

Bath jumped out to an early lead in the opening set. Zoie Bayliff took advantage of a Lima Senior defensive miscue and recorded an ace to put the Wildcats ahead 5-1.

The Spartans answered on the following point, with Amyah King setting up Drew Richardson for a kill to cut the deficit to three.

Bath continued to control the set and took the opener 25-17.

The Wildcats carried that momentum into the second set, with Bayliff finding open space between the Lima Senior defenders for another point.

The Spartans responded with a big play of their own as sophomore Delilah Gaines-Romick delivered a cross-court kill.

Lima Senior ultimately battled back and earned its first victory of the season, taking the match 3-2.
