LIMA, OH — The Lima Locos were looking to secure a series win against the Hamilton Joes on Sunday night at Simmons Field.
Trailing 3–2 in the bottom of the seventh, the Locos found a spark. With a runner on third, Carter Schueler lifted a fly ball to left. David Falloon tagged up and scored on the sacrifice fly to even the game at 3–3.
But in the top of the ninth, the Joes capitalized on a defensive miscue. A throw to third base sailed into the outfield, allowing the go-ahead run to score.
Hamilton held on in the bottom of the frame to seal a 4–3 victory and take the series.
