CONVOY, Ohio (WLIO) — A marquee MAC versus NWC matchup in Convoy saw the defending Division VII state champions, Marion Local, take on Crestview.
The Flyers entered with a 65-game winning streak and wasted no time setting the tone.
On the opening drive, Ben Meier found the end zone to put Marion Local ahead 7–0.
Just minutes later, Brennen Hess handed off to senior Cale Nagel, who sprinted 28 yards for another touchdown, extending the lead to 14–0.
Crestview struggled to generate offense, and in the second quarter, Brayden Mescher intercepted a pass and returned it deep into the red zone.
That turnover set up another Marion Local score, with Hess giving it to Meier for his second touchdown.
Hess continued to shine, connecting with Nagel for yet another big play as the Flyers pulled away.
Marion Local rolled to a 63–0 victory, extending its winning streak to 66 games.
