BLUFFTON (WLIO) — Miller City built a big early lead and stayed in control throughout a 14-3 win over Bluffton in non-league play.
Despite trailing early, Bluffton flashed some defense in the third inning when William Hoover made a diving catch in left field to prevent further damage.
The Pirates got on the board in the fourth as Evan Blue drove in Jackson Bowlus with a grounder to the right side.
Miller City answered in the sixth. Jonathon Pester delivered a deep hit to center field that allowed Jack Wenzinger to score, and Collin Ellerbrock followed with an RBI single to add to the lead.
The Wildcats continued to add on and finished off the win with a strong offensive performance.
