LIMA (WLIO) — Minster is headed back to the regional semifinals after a dominant performance in Friday’s Division VI district championship game.

The Wildcats defeated Columbus Grove 13-0 at Bath High School behind a complete-game one-hitter from Brianna Osterloh.

Minster wasted little time getting on the board. In the first inning, Alivia Heckman sent a comebacker off the pitcher’s glove to score Reece Albers and give the Wildcats an early 1-0 lead.

The Wildcats continued to build momentum in the third inning when Alayna Bergman lined a single into center field to bring home Heckman and extend the lead to 4-0.

Meanwhile, Osterloh controlled the game in the circle. The Minster ace struck out the side in order during the third inning and never allowed Columbus Grove to find consistent offense.

Bergman added to the lead again in the sixth with another RBI single to center, scoring both Lauren Tyler and Heckman. Bergman finished with three hits and three RBIs in the win.

Osterloh closed things out herself in the seventh, fielding a ground ball and throwing to first for the final out to secure the district championship.

Minster advances to the Division VI regional semifinals, where the Wildcats will face Margaretta on Wednesday in Bowling Green.
