OTTAWA, Ohio (WLIO) — Ottawa-Glandorf continued its perfect start to the season, improving to 12-0 with a 71-45 win over Shelby County foe Fort Loramie at Robert J. Hermiller Gymnasium.
The Lady Titans, ranked No. 1 in Division V, set the tone early behind senior Alivia Grothause, who opened the scoring with a smooth euro step to the basket. Grothause finished with 15 points as Ottawa-Glandorf controlled the tempo from the opening tip.
Fort Loramie answered with strong ball movement in the first quarter. Liza Poeppelmann drew the defense before finding Izzy Meyers for a layup, keeping the Redskins within striking distance during the early minutes.
As the game progressed, Ottawa-Glandorf began to separate by dominating second-chance opportunities. Madison McKee made a significant impact on the glass, grabbing her own miss and converting the putback as part of a career-high 21-point performance for the junior.
Chloe Bruns provided offensive production for Fort Loramie, scoring on a floater in the lane as the Redskins continued to battle against the Titans’ pressure.
Ottawa-Glandorf maintained its momentum throughout the second half, with Karsyn Erford adding 16 points to a balanced scoring effort. The Lady Titans improve to 12-0 after the win, while the Lady Redskins fall to 7-5 on the season.
