LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — With the regular season winding down, Week 12 delivered no shortage of highlight-reel moments. But this week’s K&M Contracting Play of the Week came straight from the Lima Cup rivalry between Lima Senior and Lima Central Catholic.
In the second half, Elynn Stearns came up with the basketball and quickly pushed it ahead to playmaker Amari Addy. Addy returned the favor, finding Stearns cutting to the rim, where the sophomore rose up and delivered a thunderous two-handed slam that brought the crowd to its feet.
But the Spartans weren’t done.
In the fourth quarter, Addy once again showed off his vision, spotting a wide-open teammate streaking toward the basket. This time, it was Willie Foster on the receiving end, finishing the alley-oop in style to cap another electric sequence.
The high-flying plays were part of a dominant night for Lima Senior, which rolled to an 80-55 victory in the Lima Cup showdown. The Spartans improved to 17-2 on the season and will return to action Friday against Perrysburg.
