Shawnee joins D-III rankings as local teams climb in state volleyball polls

OHIO — The latest Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association state polls feature a stronger presence from West Central Ohio programs, highlighted by Shawnee’s debut in the Division III rankings.
The Indians, off to a 9-2 start and unbeaten in Western Buckeye League play, entered the poll at No. 16.
In Division V, Versailles dropped one spot to No. 8 despite holding a first-place vote, Ottawa-Glandorf remained at No. 11, and Liberty-Benton climbed to No. 18.
Division VI continues to be crowded with area contenders. New Bremen held on to the top spot, while Parkway rose to No. 2 with eight first-place votes. St. Henry moved up to No. 3, Tinora is fifth, and Coldwater stayed at No. 6. Marion Local broke into the top 10, Patrick Henry slotted in at No. 10, Crestview is No. 16, and Minster returned to the poll at No. 19.
In Division VII, Leipsic, Russia, Fort Loramie, New Knoxville and Kalida all stayed at their same positions. Ayersville slid to No. 16, Delphos St. John’s entered the rankings for the first time this season at No. 17, while Miller City, Ottoville and Lehman Catholic each dropped to 18th, 19th and 20th.
