SHAWNEE (WLIO) — Shawnee dominated from start to finish, sweeping Bath in straight sets to open Western Buckeye League play.
The Indians took the first set 25-10 behind early offense from Cadence Wilson and a series of finishes at the net. Karleigh Hutchins enforced her presence late in the set and throughout the match, finishing with 16 kills.
Shawnee kept the pressure on in set two, using early blocks from Addie Kriegel and Gianna Upshaw to build momentum and pull away. Bath answered with efforts from Mia Reindel, who provided sparks offensively, but the Wildkittens could not close the gap.
