KALIDA, Ohio (WLIO) — Kalida and St. Marys met again on the hardwood after last season’s matchup required overtime, but this time the Roughriders made sure there was no late drama.

St. Marys entered the contest at 6–3, hosting a 4–6 Kalida squad, and the Roughriders seized control down the stretch.

In the fourth quarter, St. Marys built a double-digit lead and continued to apply pressure. Claire Turner finished a smooth look at the rim after corralling a pass from Sophia Menker. The junior finished the night with 11 points.

Moments later, freshman Kaya Fulmer made her presence felt on the glass. Fulmer grabbed an offensive rebound and immediately went back up strong for the lay-in, extending the Roughrider advantage.

St. Marys controlled the final quarter on both ends of the floor and closed out the game comfortably.

The Roughriders earned their seventh win of the season with a 52–29 victory over Kalida.
