CONTINENTAL (WLIO) — Upper Scioto Valley held off a late push from Continental to secure a 5-4 win in a NWCC versus PCL matchup.
The Rams tied the game in the third inning when Jesse Prater’s deep fly ball to center allowed Wyatt Davis to score.
USV added crucial insurance in the seventh. Macain Underwood’s fly ball off the fielder’s glove brought home two runs to extend the lead.
Continental answered in the bottom half. Haden Streicher drove in Reid Tegenkamp with a bloop single, and Quinn Tegenkamp followed with a hit over the shortstop to cut the deficit to one.
With runners on second and third and two outs, Prater induced a flyout to center field to end the game, sealing the win for Upper Scioto Valley.
