The City of Lima is adding one more community engagement meeting to get ideas on where to use the American Rescue Plan Funding.
The administration says they have had a great response to the three meetings so far, that they are adding a fourth meeting this Thursday night at West Middle school. Residents have been sharing their ideas where they would like to see a portion of the $26.3 million that Lima got from the federal government. Tuesday afternoon, residents said they would like to see more outdoor activity spaces, like pickleball and wheelchair ramps. But the more input the city gets, the better plan that they can create for the one-time funds.
“We have some suggestions based on things that we have heard from,” says Susan Crotty Community Development Director. “Some ideas that the city can put some more funding toward that would make the city better and improve the city.”
The last community engagement meeting will be this Thursday, March 24th at 6 pm at West Middle School. But if you can’t make that you can take part in an online survey until March 31st and send the administration an email with your suggestions on where you would like to see the money go at the following links.
