LIMA, OH (WLIO) - A Lima Teen will be charged as an adult for July murder. 18-year-old Donya Perkins is facing murder, felonious assault, and shooting charges for the death of 41-year-old Steven Smith. On July 17th, Lima Police Officers found Smith’s body in a backyard in the 1,000 block of Reese Ave. with a gunshot wound. His mother, Latoya McClellan is facing a charge of tampering with evidence for allegedly disposing of the murder weapon. Perkins will be arraigned at the end of the month.
