ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - Health is more than diet and exercise, and Activate Allen County is working to make sure other avenues of good health are being met.

Activate Allen County kicking off 2025 Activated Faith Community Challenge

Activate Allen County is accepting applications for its annual Faith Community Challenge.

The group is accepting applications for its annual Faith Community Challenge. It is to encourage area churches and faith-based organizations to increase their support of the health and well-being of their parishioners. The challenge provides financial assistance and technical support for those efforts.

Applications will be accepted until March 1, 2025, and can be found on the Activate Allen County Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ActivateAllenCounty/.

"Just to give them more and better opportunities to increase their health and well-being for all of their people involved with their community and just give them more support and availability to accomplish what they're looking for," said Meredith Obringer, Bluffton University Masters of Nutrition & Dietetics student.

Activate Allen County kicking off 2025 Activated Faith Community Challenge

The program encourages area churches and faith-based organizations to increase their support of the health and well-being of their parishioners.

The challenge will provide up to 1,000 dollars to 10 faith-based organizations. The Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin Counties will also provide additional support for any mental and/or behavioral health-focused projects. Applications will be accepted until March 1, 2025, and can be found on the Activate Allen County Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ActivateAllenCounty/.
