Several county-owned properties will be seeing improvements this year.
Allen County Commissioners approving roofing projects and entering into contracts for service. Two buildings at the old ODOT property on North West Street will be getting new roofs and the Veteran’s Memorial Civic Center will see a skylight roofing replacement and lighting project. Commissioners say the repairs have been needed for a while.
Allen County Commissioner Brian Winegardner adds, “So our buildings are obviously getting older and require more repair. And if we don’t get the roofs secure and sealed that only causes problems down the road.”
State grant dollars are local funding are being used for the roofing projects.
