Allen Economic Development Group officials say that economic development is a complicated business and nothing is certain until you sign on the dotted line.
"This process is a complicated process, and it takes a lot of go-no-go stages along the way. And we made it to the final stages, and for reasons we may or may not ever know, Microsoft decided not to pursue the site," explained Cindy Leis, president and CEO of the Allen Economic Development Group.

Leis says they are not discouraged, that there are other companies out there, and that they will continue to market the site.
Both Allen Economic Development Group and Greater Lima Region have worked a little more than 2 years with Microsoft trying to get them to choose Allen County. Leis says they are not discouraged, that there are other companies out there, and that they will continue to market the site.
