BLUFFTON, OH (WLIO) - Bluffton fire crews responded to a fully engulfed house fire late Friday afternoon.
Strong winds made firefighting efforts difficult, resulting in a total loss of the house.
Bluffton Fire Chief Jon Kinn said crews were called to 612 Lausanne Drive at 3:49 p.m. and arrived to find flames coming from the home. Strong winds made firefighting efforts difficult, resulting in a total loss of the house. The fire also spread to a neighboring home at 618 Lausanne Drive, causing damage to that structure.
Kinn said one firefighter was treated for overexertion, but no other injuries were reported. Fire crews from Beaverdam and Ada Liberty were also called to assist. The cause of the fire is not yet known. The state fire marshal's office has been called in to investigate.
