An arrest has been made in a case that dates back to 2016.
The Lima Police Department states that officers responded to 1349 Chestnut on August 13th at 12:36 A.M, where they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as 43-year-old Cory Clair of Lima. Clair was transported to a local hospital. He is currently listed in serious but stable condition.
They say the body belongs to a 56-year-old man. His name has not been released yet, pending the notification of his family. An autopsy by the Lucas County Coroner's Office couldn't point out a cause of death in the initial findings. The continuance of the investigation will depend on the toxicology results.
An investigation is currently underway by the Allen County Sheriff's Office. Deputies received an alert at approximately 6:11 A.M. Thursday of a juvenile male suffering from a gunshot would at the Hampton Inn located on Roschman Avenue in Lima.
During the investigation, information was uncovered by Wyandot County officials that led to two arrests in their county. Hayden Scott Radabaugh and Andrew Paul Wells have been arrested and charged with one count each of Having Weapons Under Disability, a 3rd-degree felony. Both subjects are currently being held in the Wyandot County Jail. An investigation is underway into a shooting in Lima. On Monday, July 19th at 11:49 PM, officers responded to Lima Memorial after receiving a report of a male with a gunshot wound.
The Hardin County Sheriff's Office states that on July 7th around 7:00 PM, a call came in of a body on the side of a road in the southeast portion of Buck Township. The body was located on Township Road 265 between State Route 31 and Township Road 190. The male victim was then transported to the Montgomery County Coroner's Office for an autopsy. The victim has been identified as a 29-year-old Robert Mays, Jr. of Fostoria.
Details are few, but a news release from the Hardin County Sheriff's Office says dispatchers received a call reporting the situation at around 7 o'clock Wednesday evening. It says the call originated in the southeastern part of the county in Buck Township, and that the Ohio BCI has been called in to assist with the crime scene. There's no further word on the identity of the victim, or if anyone is in custody.
Around 9:50 p.m. Wednesday evening, the Lima Police Department responded to the 500 block of South Pine Street on reports of a body being found. According to scanner traffic, investigative units were called to a home there. They say they are treating it as a crime scene, but are not sure at this point if foul play is involved.
