LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — If you enjoy the great outdoors, Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District is seeking summer volunteers.
The organization is offering a range of opportunities to assist with educational programs, including hikes and day camps. In addition, volunteers are needed for various projects to help maintain the 17 parks across the district.
Staff will be on hand to guide volunteers as they serve the community and take in the natural beauty of the area parks.
“So, anybody age 18 or older can help us out. And we even have a volunteer opportunity for teens as well. We've got summer camps, day camps, we've got hikes that people can help out on. We've got some opportunities and natural resources, all kinds of opportunities,” says Marie Walton, JAMPD Naturalist.
