LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - A shoplifter at the Lima Mall sends police on a short chase before being caught.
The male suspect ran from officers outside the mall and ran across Cable Road. Officers from American Township and Elida Police Departments along with deputies from the Allen County Sheriff's Office were in pursuit with the suspect being caught without incident behind a business on Cable Road. He requested medical attention and a squad responded.
American Township police report that the suspect was not injured and he stole something from J.C. Penney's. He was found to have outstanding warrants in Allen and Mercer counties.
