LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Students today face a number of challenges that can lead to poor decisions, including the influence of social media, alcohol abuse and vaping.
To help kick off "Positive Addiction Week," the Lima Catholic Schools welcomed nationally recognized speaker Nathan Harmon. He founded "Your Life Speaks", an organization focused on promoting healthy attitudes, building better relationships and overcoming life’s challenges.
As someone who comes from a troubled past and admits to making poor choices, Harmon hopes students leave with a deeper understanding of how their decisions can shape their future.
Harmon founded "Your Life Speaks", an organization focused on promoting healthy attitudes, building better relationships and overcoming life’s challenges.
"I think if you can get people to walk away with the belief that they were born to do hard things that they would rather confront, fight and fail forward than settle for the comfort of staying the same, but truthfully, for them to leave here with a moment of impact, where they're just having some thought provoking internal questions about how they want their life to look moving forward," said Nathan Harmon, motivational speaker.
Positive Addiction Week will conclude Friday with all Catholic schools coming together for their annual run at Saint Charles Church.
