LIMA, OH (WLIO) - ArtSpace/Lima once again threw a great party, this time for a celestial event like no other.

A couple of hundred people were dancing in the moonlight on top of the downtown Lima parking garage. The anticipation of the total eclipse was being felt by everyone as they patiently waited for the big moment. As it arrived, the air became cooler, there was a light breeze, and it looked like dawn around the city, and it took people's breath away.

"Oh, it was so cool! Like it's obvious to see it in video and pictures, and stuff, but it's so surreal to see it in real life, and the lighting was insane; no one talks about how it looks besides the sun; no one talks about how it looks around," said Virgo Lee, who loved the eclipse.

"We went to the first one back in 2017; we traveled down to Tennessee to see it, and I got this little telescope. It was only like 70 bucks, but it was the best 70 bucks I've spent in my life, I think," commented Shane Buckland, who drove from Maryland to see the eclipse.

"So it was nice; it was a good experience; everyone was around each other; it was good vibes. It got dark real quick, and then once it came back, we had to throw our glasses on real quick, but it was a nice experience; I liked it," stated Stephen Cornwell, a UNOH student who watched the eclipse.

"I thought this was fantastic. I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to get my walker in here, but it's wonderful. I'm so glad they had it," said Susan Dee, who enjoyed the eclipse.

Everyone on the rooftop, up above, and down below enjoyed the once-in-a-lifetime event.
