CASA of Allen and Putnam Counties is looking for volunteers to help children who had to be removed from their families because of the situation they are living in. Advocates would help the children in court proceedings get a better life and outcome than they are leaving.

If you would like to be a child advocate, you need to be 21 years old and be able to pass a background check.

"Our volunteers are amazing being able to come alongside children, who are usually in the foster care system, who have been abused or neglected, and be able to speak on their behalf in the court. Usually, you have Children Services there in court; you got the bio-parents there in court, and you need somebody there to speak on behalf of the children and be able to give them (the court) just a little bit of an inside view; we are the eyes and the ears of the court of what the children are going through, services that they may need, and then the best placement for them for permanency," says Britani Ward, CASA Advocate Coordinator.
