LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Children dashed to the Lima Family YMCA for "Breakfast with Santa" on Saturday morning. From 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Santa took time away from his job at the North Pole to enjoy pancakes, sausage, and eggs with children from the Allen County area. Of course, the kids were able to tell Santa one more time what they would like for Christmas and get their photo sitting on his lap. The event was organized by the YMCA's teen development program and was open to members as well as non-members of the community.
"We do it to involve the community, to kind of get ready for the holiday season, and something fun for all of the families, and even the kids. The kids typically really enjoy it. They love doing crafts; they love sitting on Santa's lap, getting candy canes, playing games; all of that." says Brianna Keeler, Director of Teen Development at the Lima Family YMCA.
The Lima Family YMCA is now accepting applications for their youth winter programs. The first winter session will begin on January 8th.
