December 6, 2024, Press Release from Lima City Schools: Lima Senior High School DECA students learning about entrepreneurship will present their annual DECA Marketplace from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, in the high school cafeteria.
The community is invited to come and do some shopping of 10 different products created by students. The products include hair accessories, wax melts, "Freshie" air fresheners, car organization accessories, decorated Christmas cookies, chocolate covered strawberries, pudding cup desserts, snack mixes, dog treats, jewelry and a limited supply of custom coffee blends from Vibe Coffeehouse.
Students have been working on their micro-business plans, gave their pitch decks to local community "Sharks" and are finalizing production, packaging and pricing now.
The Marketplace will be held during the Lima Senior boys home basketball game against Toledo Scott. People not attending the game but wanting to visit the Marketplace can enter through the west side of the building.
The Marketplace will accept cash, credit cards or CashApp and Venmo. All proceeds support DECA students.
