It's "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" as a local church is making an effort to provide after-school snacks to area children. They are calling it "Spread the Love." Faith Christian Church is launching an after-school PB&J meal project in food-insecure areas of Lima. They will be providing children with a brown bag containing a drink, applesauce, a treat, and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

December 6, 2024, Press Release from Lima City Schools: Lima Senior High School DECA students learning about entrepreneurship will present their annual DECA Marketplace from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, in the high school cafeteria. The community is invited to come and do some shopping of 10 different products created by students. The products include hair accessories, wax melts, "Freshie" air fresheners, car organization accessories, decorated Christmas cookies, chocolate covered strawberries, pudding cup desserts, snack mixes, dog treats, jewelry and a limited supply of custom coffee blends from Vibe Coffeehouse.

Whether it’s a turkey sandwich or another serving of mashed potatoes, one of the best parts about Thanksgiving is the leftovers. But in order to safely enjoy round two of your Thanksgiving feast, you need to remember to put the food away shortly after everyone’s finished their first helping.

 Pizza... pizza... and more pizza. With families and friends all gathering and preparing for their Thanksgiving meal on Thursday, the desire to cook the night before slowly dwindles, leading to an increase in pizza orders. Lima's very own Westgate Entertainment Center, known for their pizza, says that the day before Thanksgiving is one of their busiest times of the year.

Thanksgiving is only two days away, and Lima South Science and Technology students are celebrating early! On Tuesday afternoon, the kids gathered at the tables to feast upon a traditional Thanksgiving meal. On the menu was venison, sweet potatoes, and apple crisps. Many staff members help served the meal while dressing up as pilgrims and Native Americans. During the feast, we talked with two students about the impact Thanksgiving has on them.
