LIMA, OHIO (WLIO) - Pizza... pizza... and more pizza. With families and friends all gathering and preparing for their Thanksgiving meal on Thursday, the desire to cook the night before slowly dwindles, leading to an increase in pizza orders.

Some of the larger pizza companies estimate that they will sell more than one million pizzas on Thanksgiving Eve.

Lima's very own Westgate Entertainment Center, known for their pizza, says that the day before Thanksgiving is one of their busiest times of the year.

"I think today is a really big day for pizza because a lot of people have extra family in town, and obviously they do not want to cook tonight because they will be cooking all day tomorrow," said Randy Johnston, co-owner of Westgate Entertainment Center. "For our case, there are a lot of people that have lived out of town and just want to come back and have a Westgate pizza. Typically, this is one of our busier days of the holiday season, again because they have a lot of people in town for out-of-town holidays, friends and family are in town, and it's a busy night for us."
