LIMA, OH (WLIO) - It's "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" as a local church is making an effort to provide after-school snacks to area children.

Children will be provided a brown bag containing a drink, applesauce, a treat, and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

They are calling it "Spread the Love." Faith Christian Church is launching an after-school PB&J meal project in food-insecure areas of Lima. They will be providing children with a brown bag containing a drink, applesauce, a treat, and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

They need assistance to make the project a success.

"We need help with two things specifically. Volunteers to make the sandwiches. We have a kit all prepared and ready to go. People can make sandwiches; 60 sandwiches at a time. And we also need help with donations and food collection," said Laurie Camper, public relations and marketing for "Spread the Love."

Faith Christian Church is launching an after-school PB&J meal project in food-insecure areas of Lima.

They plan the first distribution to be Friday, February 8th, in and around the 6th Ward. Just listen for the "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" music, and the delivery will not be far away.
