COLUMBUS, Ohio (WLIO) — Ottawa-Glandorf's Alivia Grothause led a strong showing from West Central Ohio athletes at Saturday's Division III State Track and Field Championships, capturing a state title and helping the Lady Titans secure a Division III state runner-up finish.

In the girls 100-meter hurdles, Celina freshman Alison Hemmelgarn earned a spot on the podium, finishing fourth with a time of 14.35 seconds.

Grothause claimed a state championship in the girls 100-meter dash, adding to an outstanding day for the Titans.

In the boys 100-meter dash, Kenton sophomore Gavin Sealscott placed fifth in the state.

Grothause was back on the track as part of Ottawa-Glandorf's girls 4x200-meter relay team, helping the Titans earn a silver medal with a time of 1:41.00.

On the boys side, Elida's 4x200-meter relay team finished fourth overall with a time of 1:27.00.

The Ottawa-Glandorf girls also secured a third-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay.

In the girls 400-meter dash, Titans junior Emma Heringhaus delivered a personal-best performance, finishing as the Division III state runner-up in 56.58 seconds.

Grothause capped off her day with another podium finish, taking second in the girls 200-meter dash with a time of 25.02 seconds.

Behind multiple podium performances and a state championship from Grothause, the Ottawa-Glandorf Lady Titans finished the Division III State Track and Field Championships as the Division III state runner-up team.
