Columbus Grove wins boys, girls titles on full day of local State Championships

COLUMBUS (WLIO) — Day two of the OHSAA State Track and Field Championships produced a long list of state champions from west central Ohio, highlighted by Columbus Grove sweeping the Division 5 boys and girls team titles, becoming just the fourth school in OHSAA history to accomplish the feat.
Among the individual champions were St. John's Lila Jackson (girls long jump), Coldwater's Aidan Rose (110 and 300 hurdles), Bluffton's Kain Wright (400), Minster's Molly Brame (100 hurdles), St. Henry's Cole Kaiser (100), Columbus Grove's Kendal Palte (300 hurdles), Fort Loramie's Elijah Heitkamp (300 hurdles), Arlington's Calvin Willow (high jump), McComb's Carter Frater (110 hurdles), and Fort Loramie's Landen Drees (800).
Coldwater's Johnny Pohlman finished as the Division 4 boys long jump runner-up, while Spencerville's Audra McMichael, Kalida's Lauren Laudick, and Ada's Kayleb Hickman each earned second-place finishes in their respective events. Columbus Grove also captured the Division 5 girls 4x400 relay title, with Minster and St. Henry joining the Bulldogs on the podium.
