Media Release from Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol
Marysville – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious injury crash that occurred Thursday evening on CR 34 near SR 235 in Logan County.
At approximately 8:44 P.M., the Ohio State Highway Patrol received notification of a single-motorcycle injury crash. First responders arrived to find the vehicle on the south side of the roadway. The operator was identified as Lawrence Day, 60, of Maplewood, OH.
The preliminary investigation showed Lawrence Day was operating a 2006 Honda Shadow motorcycle. He was traveling northwest on CR 34 when he drove off the left side of the roadway and laid the motorcycle down.
Lawrence Day was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by ground ambulance with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The Ohio State Highway Patrol received assistance from Indian Lake EMS and Top’s Towing. Lawrence Day was not using any safety equipment, and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
