LIMA, OH (WLIO) - It was all about the food today at Lima Senior High School’s Spartan Inn.

Lima culinary students make Thanksgiving Day feast for a full house at Spartan Inn

The aspiring chefs each had a role from prepping to cooking to serving, learning both the back and the front of the house duties.

The culinary students prepared their annual Thanksgiving dinner, and it was a feast. People made reservations to get a chance to eat the traditional meal with all the fixings. The aspiring chefs each had a role from prepping to cooking to serving, learning both the back and the front of the house duties. While it can get hectic, students say they really enjoy the experience.

Phoenix Matthews, a junior culinary student, explains, “The kitchen, it’s a fun place. It can get a little stressful, especially when you have lots of reservations or a lot of people just come in at once. But it’s always fun to work with people you know and can get along with.”

Matthews says she plans to continue her culinary education after graduation. The Spartan Inn is open to the public on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm when school is in session.
