Columbus, OH (WLIO) - Ohio deer hunters had a successful week for gun hunting. Hunters harvested nearly 72,000 deer, during the week that hunters could use a gun for deer hunting. Which is nearly 1,500 more than the weeklong hunting time in 2021 and 2,500 above the three-year average. So far this year, 164,000 deer have been checked by gun and bow hunters. Gun hunters have a bonus weekend coming up on December 17th and 18th where they can try and get their buck or doe.
