Family Dollar on Robb Ave. robbed Monday night

The Allen County Sheriff's Office is trying to identify the suspects that robbed the Family Dollar on West Robb Avenue last night.

According to the sheriff's office, just before 10 p.m., two men, one white and one black, came into the business wearing masks and all black clothing demanding money from employees. The employees got around $1,000 from the safe and the registers. No weapon was used, but one of the suspects physically forced one of the employees to the ground. The black male has been described to be around 5 foot 8 to 5 foot 10 inches tall.  The white male was described as being 6 feet tall. If you have any information about the crime you are asked to call the Allen County Sheriff's Office. 

On the way to the robbery, two sheriff's cruisers got in an accident with one another. Both deputies were traveling west on Robb Avenue when the deputy in front attempted to make a u-turn to set up a perimeter, the other deputy ran into his driver's side door. Both deputies were taken to Mercy Health St. Rita's with non-life threatening injuries. Both cruisers are expected to be total losses. The investigation into the crash is expected to be completed on Wednesday
