LIMA, OH (WLIO) - An Allen County judge denied the request to halt work being done on a downtown Lima investment.

Judge denies request from Jerome O'Neal to halt downtown Lima project

Jerome O'Neal lost his request for a preliminary injunction against CDC Investment Partnership to stop work and the transfer of any funds dealing with their project on South Central Avenue. O'Neal says the real estate investment was his idea and that he was entitled to equal ownership and sued Tracie Sanchez for breach of fiduciary duties and misrepresentation.

The judge says O'Neal didn't have convincing evidence to prove his claims and halting work would hurt the contractors remodeling the building and the tenant who is looking to set up shop at that location. But the judge did order that O'Neal would be able to pick up the personal property that he had remaining in the buildings.
