Kentucky woman caught with over 50 grams of heroin in Auglaize County Jail

A Kentucky woman was allegedly caught throwing heroin in the trash when she was being booked in the Auglaize County Jail.

Sheriff Al Solomon says back on May 28th, 30-year-old Jamie Clay of Richmond, Kentucky was arrested by the Ohio State Highway Patrol on a warrant out of Wood County.

While she was being booked, Auglaize corrections officers say they spotted her throwing a baggie, that she had in a body cavity, into the trash.

The baggie contained over 50 grams of heroin, with a street value of around $10,000. Cay was charged with a first-degree felony of possession of heroin and a 3rd-degree felony of trying to bring an illegal substance into a jail.
