Opening statements began Tuesday in the three cases against Daquan Burse. He is charged with possession of a fentanyl-related substance. He is also facing charges in two other cases. One of those cases involves trafficking heroin and the other for a 2019 shooting at a house.

An active warrant is out for a Lima man who failed to make his court appearance. Daquan Burse was scheduled for a pre-trial on Thursday in Allen County Common Pleas Court. However, according to court officials, the defendant did not show up.

This morning dozens of people came out to Martin Luther king park to help support the fight against drugs.

Sixth ward Lima City Councilman, Derry Glenn, hosted this third annual heroin walk. Throughout the morning people walked several laps around the park's lake. And spoke with Glenn spoke about the impact heroin has had in Allen County and what they feel can be done to stop it.

Local troopers turn a traffic stop on U.S. 68 into a drug bust.
