Make A Wish Fundraiser

"Together, we can help grant the true heartfelt wish of every eligible child." Those the words of the Make A Wish Foundation.

Founded in 1980 when a community came together to grant a young boy his wish of becoming a police officer. That boy was diagnosed with Leukemia. Since that day, The Make A Wish Foundation was created and now has 62 chapters in the United States. The program relies solely on donations to grant wishes to children with a life-threatening medical condition. The Lima area is served by the Maumee Make A Wish chapter. Local wish granters say the wishes are a way to give the child and their family a break from their daily routine.

You can support the Make A Wish Foundation on Monday, April 3, 2017 at a benefit basketball game. The Lima Police Department will be playing the Lima Fire Department to raise funds. They will be taking donations at the door. The game will be played at the Lima Senior High School gymnasium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the game starting at 7 p.m.

You can also make donations online at http://oki.wish.org/. You can also send a check to the address:
